  Married: Both husband and wife are widowed at the time of marriage. Catherine is shown as a widow on the marriage certificate - she may have been the mother of Maria who married James, Edward's son, in 1876. Edward is described as a Shoe Maker, his father, James (deceased), a Fisherman and Catherine's father, Peter Redmond (also deceased), a Plasterer. Witnesses were Frederick and Mary Ann Almond.
