- Present was a stitch in time for Joyce.
Headmistress Joyce Mullins has it all sewn up last week after 20 years at a village primary school.
She retired from Kingsbury Episcopi Primary School after seeing it thrive under her leadership.
Parents, governors and friends of the school presented her with a sewing machine for her craftwork hobby, after a secret family longing slipped out. PTA treasurer Stephanine Shillito revealed: "she said to her husband she wanted a good sewing machine. So we have been raising money for it."
