Well I finally did it. I just walked down and sent off my Ancestry autosomal DNA test. I now need to wait 6-8 weeks for the results.

I am not expecting any surprises, as using traditional methods I have tracked my Ancestors back on all lines for 6 generations on all my lines. However I am ready for a “Shock” if it comes my way.

I have also given Stephen a test in the hope it will help with his tricky Irish ancestry, and perhaps even knock down one or two of the brick walls, of course we may simply find lot’s of cousins who are stuck at the same point.
