EVERSHOT. ---Sudden Death---An inquest was held oa Thursday last, at the Acorn Inn, on the body of Charles Mullens, a labourer, who had died suddenly the previous day. It appeared that on Wednesday morning, about 6 o'clock, the deceased came home in liquor and complained of being unwell. He went to bed, and there remained till the afternoon, when, upon some one going to call him, it was found that he was dead. From the evidence of Mr. Clapcott, surgeon, it would appear that deceased was in the habit of drinking, and some time since had been suffering from delirium tremens. Mr. Clapcott considered him to be suffering from an organic disease of the brain.-Verdict -" Died by the Visitation of God." |
