  Her father was deceased at the time of their wedding Her mother may have become the second wife of Edward Taubman (James's father) although the names are somewhat different on the marriage certificates James died in 1883 and according to free BMD Maria married in June q 1884 in Liverpool 8b 321 Maria was living at 35 Haigh Street at the time of the wedding.
